NEW SITES FOR: Site Guide to the Birds of Veracruz (English version)

We have no new descriptions at the moment, but due soon:
1. Rancho Santa Gertrudis: a wonderful 900+ hectare (2,220 acre) private reserve in the coastal mountains of central Veracruz. It is located about 1 hour north of Cardel, and 12 km inland from the coastal highway, leaving the coastal highway at the town of Santander. They have several cabins, electricity, kitchens, hot water for showers, optional prepared meals, and more. On our recent visit (February, 2008), toucans were common, we had 3 species of trogons (4 have been recorded on the ranch), Lesser Swallow-tailed Swift and Eye-ringed Flatbill (perhaps the most northern record for these 2 species).
